Blaster Blade Liberator's skill!

The long wait is over! A translation for Blaster Blade Liberator's ability has been found.
[CB2] When this card enters the V or R circle and you have a "Liberator" Vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, retire one of your opponent's rearguards in the front row.
I am very disappointed in his skill. Blaster Blade(Royal Paladin) has a much better ability. Blaster Blade as the Vanguard can retire any rear guard unit. As a rear guard, Blaster Blade can rear Grade 2 or greater rear guard units. However, Blaster Blade Liberator can only retire a front row unit. Blaster Blade Liberator's skill is more limited. The overall skill isn't bad. At the moment Blaster Blade appears to be the superior card.

More importantly there is no information about Blaster Blade Liberator being a duel clan unit. Rumors speculated that Blaster Blade Liberator would be a Gold Paladin and Royal Paladin unit. However, this may not be the case. His translation does not state that Blaster Blade Liberator is also a Royal Paladin unit. I think this is for the best. If he was also a Royal Paladin unit then a Royal Paladin deck could have 4 Blaster Blades and 4 Blaster Blade Liberators. That may be very broken in a Blaster deck.

Yu-G-Oh! Card Discussion: High Priestess of Prophecy

Yugioh Card Discussion will be a new topic series in the blog! This new series will discuss the game's cards. What better way to start off with none other then High Priestess of Prophecy!

High Priestess of Prophecy's effect
You can reveal 3 "Spellbook" Spell Cards in your hand; Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn: You can banish 1 "Spellbook" Spell Card from your hand or Graveyard to target 1 card on the field; destroy that target.

High Priestess of Prophecy is one of the best Spellcaster monsters. She is a perfect fit in most Spellcaster decks because she is very easy to summon. Her effect requires you to have 3 Spellbook magic cards in your hand to special summon her from your hand to the field. In special situations you can special summon up to three copies of High Priestess of The Prophecy by her effect. In addition, Temperance of Prophecy, Magical Dimension and other Spellcaster summon cards help summon her to the field very quick and early in matches.

Her second effect is what players like the most about her. Her 2500 attack isn't very impressive. However, her second effect makes up for it. She can destroy any card on the field. This includes monsters, face down cards, field cards, traps, and spell cards. Nothing is safe from her wrath! She can use this effect once per turn. This makes her a big threat on the field.

It is very difficult for opposing players to destroy High Priestess of Prophecy because of Spellbook of Wisdom. Spellbook of Wisdom can protect her from spell cards or trap cards. Cards like Solemn Judgment, Dark Hole, and Dimensional Prison are nearly useless against her. For example if player activates Solemn Judgement at High Priestess of Prophecy then you can counter with Spellbook of Wisdom and you opponent loss half of his or her life points. Opponents will need to think twice before activating traps and spells against her.

High Priestess of Prophecy will be around for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets semi-limited or limited because of her powerful effect and how easy she is to summon.

A Lack of Grade 3 Females

Clans and Vanguards are suppose to represent the player. Personally I feel as if many clans and Vanguards are unable to represent the player. I think clans should be able to represent male and female players. Many clans are lacking female cards especially grade 3 female cards. Angel Feather, Bermuda Triangle, Oracle Think Tank, Neo Nectar, and Pale Moon are the only clans that have a lot of female cards. Most importantly they have grade 3 females. Furthermore there are a few clans that have grade 3 females. The Dark Iregulars clan has two female grade 3 cards, Demon Eater and Edel Rose. Nova Grappler has Armored Fairy Shubiela and Miss Splendor.

Personally, I do not feel that my deck represents me very well. As many of you know I'm using a Royal Paladin deck. I prefer for the woman to be in command. I want to have some grade 3 females in my deck. I think a  matriarchy deck would fit me very nicely. Currently there are not any female grade 3 options for my deck.

Continually, Gold Paladins, Royal Paladins, Shadow Paladins, Spike Brothers, Kagero, Granblue, Great Nature, etc. do not have any female grade 3 units. Most of these decks' themes share something in common. The clans appear to live in patriarchy nations. A patriarchy society is a male dominated society. The few female cards in these clans are merely support male cards.

I think Bushiroad can create interesting Grade 3 female cards for most clans. The three paladin clans can have very cool Grade 3 female leaders. We have the King Alfred. Where is his queen? They can create cards like The Holly Queen, Royal Princess, Warrior Princess, etc.

Furthermore, trading card games typically target male players. Sometimes games will add female cards. I think the game would be more appealing for female players if every clan had female cards for every grade. I think most females would like to have powerful female cards in a deck for good use. Right now the game is targeting females with very stereotypical cards such as Bermuda Triangle and Pale Moon. These clans will bring in some female players. However, this can be maximized by making every clan appealing to male and female players.

In conclusion, I hope Bushiroad will make more grade 3 female cards in the near future. This will freshen up the decks at locals. It will also give more diversity to the game. Who doesn't want more awesome female artwork? My Royal Paladin deck would look even cooler.

Comic Style Vol.1-Exculpate the Blaster Promo Announced!

Various online trading card stores have announced that Exculpate the Blaster will be the promo card in Comic Style Vol. 1. You can get this powerful card by buying a brand new Comic Style Vol. 1 booster box! Exculpate The Blaster made his debut in the manga's fifth volume. Aichi played this card to overcome Ren's powerful Shadow Paladin deck. Although the manga does not have an official English release. You can find translations throughout the Internet. Exculpate the Blaster is one of the most powerful units in the game. He is great for a unit to use for the final turn. However, he is difficult to call. You need Blaster Blade in the soul and a Grade 3 unit in the Vanguard circle to call Exculpate the Blaster. He is a perfect fit for any Blaster deck!

Comic Style Vol. 1 contains cards that are exclusive in the manga. Exculpate the Blaster's promo fits perfectly with this booster set. Besides happy Royal Paladin players, Nova Grappler fans will also be happy. This set also contains the entire famous Raizer series. Kagero, MegaColony, Murakumo, Pale Moon, Oracle Think Tank, Spike Bros, and Tachikaze will also be receiving more support!
