Unit of The Week: Blaster Dark Spirit

I have no intentions of being sealed without a fight. That is all.
[AUTO]:[Counter Blast (1)] When this card is placed on (RC) from your deck, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose one of your opponent's grade 2 or less rear-guards in the front row, and retire it.
[AUTO](RC):At the end of the battle that this unit was attacked, retire this unit.
[CONT]:This card is also a «Gold Paladin».
The spirit of the dark warrior remains on planet Cray. He stays to battle the wicked Void. He shall fight along the new generation, Gold Paladins. Blaster Dark Spirit is a special dual clan unit. He is both a Gold Paladin and Royal Paladin unit.

Blaster Dark Spirit is a better grade 2 vanguard than Blaster Blade and Blaster Dark. He is a 15,000 attacker when boosted by Wingal Brave. He easily becomes a stage 2 attacker while Blaster Blade and Blaster Dark are stage 1 attackers when boosted by Wingal Brave. Wingal Brave has a higher change of activating his skill when boosting Blaster Dark Spirit.

Furthermore, Blaster Dark Spirit is a good unit to superior call to retire opponent's units. The King of Knights, Alfred and Great Silver Wolf, Garmore can use their skills to superior call Blaster Dark Spirit from this deck. This will trigger his skill to retire an opponent's unit. This is a really great skill. It can retire a Grade 2 unit to prevent it from intercepting or a very power grade 3 rear guard unit.

Blaster Dark Spirit's only downfall is his vulnerability as a rear guard. Players cannot protect Blaster Dark Spirit. He retires after he is attacked. He won't last long on the battlefield.

In conclusion, Blaster Dark Spirit is an interesting card to use in a Majesty Lord Blaster deck. He has an easier time triggering Wingal Brave's skill. His skill is very useful. He easily retires a unit from the field.

Deck Budgeting 101

Do not post this picture on another site without permission!
It's time to budget our decks! Playing Cardfight!! Vanguard and Yu-Gi-Oh! isn't cheap. Many decks can cost well over $300. Yu-Gi-Oh's top meta decks can cost as much as $2,000. However, deck cost can be lowered. Players can find unique ways to save cost and still create powerful decks. Even Seto Kaiba will be surprise when you unleash such a powerful low costing deck!

1. Buy Cheap Common Cards

Start off by buying common cards. Most card commons are very cheap and are around a dollar or less. Also ask your friends for their extra common cards. Friends are more likely to give you their extra commons for free. I often give my friends any extra common cards that they need for their decks. Although an ex-friend of mines gave me his Ultra-rare Dark Magician Girl. Don't expect that to happen at all.

Secondly, instead of buying a rare version of a card, but the common version. The nice shiny holo card looks nice. However, the normal common card has the same effect. A common Bottomless Trap Hole is just as useful as an ultra rare Bottomless Trap Hole.

2. Buy Cheap Rare Cards

Unfortunately, not every card has a common counterpart. The first edition copies will cost more than the unlimited copies. Buy the unlimited copies to save money for more cards.

There is some good news! Some rare cards have reprints. The reprinted copies are normally cheaper than the original copies.

3. Save The Rarest Cards For Last

A deck's most powerful cards are normally the most expensive cards. If possible buy these cards last. You should do the first and second step before buying the deck's strongest cards. During this time the cards' values may go up or down. The current meta and second hand market dictate the prices.

4. Buy Booster Boxes and Starter Decks

This isn't the best option depending on what you're trying to build. However, buying booster boxes and starter decks can help hasten your deck's completion. Only buy booster boxes when a box contains many cards that your deck needs. Last year I wanted to make a Prophecy deck so I purchased Return of The Duelist. I pulled many cards that my deck needed such as Spellbook of Secrets and Temperance of Prophecy.

5. Trade Extra and Unwanted Cards

You may not need or want every card. A cheap way of getting cards you want is by trading your extra and unwanted cards. Another man's trash is another man's treasure. You may find a player who wants your unwanted cards and have cards you need for your deck.

Be fair and honest when you trade with players. Build a good reputation at your locals. More people will trust you and want to trade with you. Never try to cheat someone with a very bad deal. Good players will notice this and will not trade with you.

6. Join Reward Programs

Reward programs are a great way to get cards for free. The best reward program is Swagbucks. You can easily and safely save up reward points to redeem them for Amazon or PayPal gift cards. Now you can use your new gift cards to buy cards. I used Swagbucks to buy my very first High Priestess of Prophecy for free.

Please post your comments and suggestions below! I want hear your deck budget ideas! Let's budget our decks together!

Unit of The Week: Circular Saw, Kiriel

Looks like you need surgery. Shining Circular Saw!
[AUTO](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage):When this unit attacks a vanguard, this unit gets [Power]+5000 until end of that battle.
[AUTO]:[Counter Blast (1)] When this unit is placed on (VC), you may pay the cost. If you do, choose a face up «Angel Feather» from your damage zone, call it to (RC), and put the top card of your deck face down into your damage zone.
Someone call 911! I need an Angel Feather nurse! Circular Saw Kiriel is one of the first RRR cards that I've ever pulled! I pulled her from a random booster pack! Circular Saw, Kiriel's artwork is very nice to look at! Blaster Blade has one hot nurse to tend to his wounds!

Circular Saw Kiriel has the stereotype limit break skill. She gains 5,000 power when she attacks a vanguard. However, this stereotype isn't bad at all! It aids her when attacking cross ride units. She becomes a 26k attacker when boosted by Lighting Charger!

Her count blast effect is very useful. It superior call's a unit from the damage zone and is a powerful combo with The Phoenix, Calamity Flame, Million Ray Pegasus, and Thousand Ray Pegasus. These units gain attack power when cards are sent to the damage zone. She recreates their defensive skill into an offensive skill.

In conclusion, Circular Saw, Kiriel is the hottest nurse in town! She is worthy to have a very good Angel Feathers deck build around her limit break skill. Her Angel Feather comrades take advantage of her limit break. They gain power as cards are sent to the damage zone.

Card Fighter Spotlight: Misaki Tokura

Misaki Tokura is a part of Japan's national championship team Team Q4 . Misaki is famous for playing Oracle Think Thank and Genesis. Misaki has three essential skills to being a good card fighter knowledge, memory, and skill. She has an overall record of 29-9. She wins 76% of her matches. Wow!

Misaki's memory is her most valuable skill. She can remember every card she and her opponent draw,
damage/trigger check, discard, and return to the deck. This is a very important skill for card fighter. In fact this is a required skill. It is a major advantage for game. Misaki knows the probability in drawing her triggers. In episodes 61 and 62 Misaki defeated Asaka by manipulating her deck and knowing the 16 reminding cards in her deck. She pulled back to back critical triggers to knock Asaka's lights out.

In addition, Misaki learned how to play the game by working at Card Capital. She had to learn how to play to help customers. You need to know what you're selling! She has a basic idea on how clans work. It can allow her to stay one step ahead of her opponent. She will have a general idea about her opponent's strategy. This is an indication that she can master any clan she wishes to play.

Furthermore, good players have skill. Misaki knows her decks' strengths and weaknesses. She is a very consistent player. Consistency is the key to winning games. Her skills continued to development throughout the series. She mastered deck manipulation plays in her Oracle Think Tank decks. She knows when to make the right plays at the right times.

Finally, Misaki is one of the few characters who have defeated Ren. Many characters have tried and fail to defeat Ren such as Kai(failed on camera), Asaka, and Leon. This win and her record place her in the decision as one of the best card fighters in the anime. Ren is widely considered the man to beat because he is the two time national champion in Japan.

In conclusion, Misaki Tokura is one of the best players in the game. She may be slightly underrated. Her record of 29-9 puts her into the decision of being a top 5 player. She processes the three key abilities to be a great card fighter; knowledge, memory, and skill. They allow her to stay one step ahead of her opponent. Such an advantage determines the game's outcome.

[CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit without a same clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack)
Star-vader Chaos Breaker Dragon's skills were leaked this past weekend. He has a very interesting limit break skill. Instead of gaining power, he retires opponents' units during their end phase. This is another offensive and defensive strategy by Link Joker. He can either remove an offensive unit like Silent Tom or a defensive unit like Knight of truth Gordon. Expect Star-vader Chaos Breaker Dragon to make some noise! He will make this debut in BT13-Catastrophic Outbreak!
