Card Discussion: Stardust Dragon

During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that would destroy a card(s) on the field: You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard.
Stardust Dragon is a powerful level eight Synchro monster. Stardust Dragon is famous for being Yusei Fudo's signature card. He is Yusei's "Dark Magician". He is one of the best Synchro monsters in the game. He is also a must have for collectors!

Stardust Dragon is one of the most splashable Synchro monsters in the game. He can literally fit into almost every Extra Deck and most decks can easily special summon it. The popular tuner monster, Effect Veiler is in many decks and Side Decks, and can quickly summon a Stardust Dragon.

Furthermore, Stardust Dragon's strength is in his skill. He protects the field from one card or effect that can destroy cards on the field. Stardust Dragon negates some of the game's most powerful cards such as Dark Hole, Mirror Force, and High Priestess of Prophecy. Opening the game with him can be a huge advantage. You have established a protected field.

However, Stardust Dragon isn't invincible. The best methods to destroy him are by battle and casting Book of Moon. His 2500 attack points are pretty good. However, many monsters can easily destroy Stardust Dragon in battle. Book of Moon renders Stardust Dragon useless as he would not be able to use his skill.

In Closing, Stardust Dragon is a great card for any Extra Deck. He will always be a relevant card. His ability to protect the entire is a very attractive skill. That's why he is often placed in extra decks. He has an important spot in my Extra Deck's lineup!
