Unit of The Week: Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon

O heavy lance of gold, bring everlasting prosperity to the future that is to come.
[Stride]-Stride Step-[Choose one or more cards with the sum of their grades being 3 or greater from your hand, and discard them] Stride this card on your (VC) from face down.
[AUTO](VC) Unite (This ability is active if you have called two or more units to (RC) or (GC) during this turn):[Counter Blast (1) & Choose a face down card named "Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon" from your G zone, and turn it face up & Choose two of your rear-guards, and put them on the bottom of your deck in any order] When this unit attacks, you may pay the cost. If you do, look at seven cards from the top of your deck, search for up to the same number of cards from among them as the number of face up cards in your G zone, call them to separate (RC), shuffle your deck, and if you called three or more cards, Counter Charge (1)/Soul Charge (1).
My favorite clan at the moment is Gold Paladins. Their new defensive strategy makes them one of the best clans. Their G-Units makeup for the lack of offense from the rear-guards. Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon is the new G-Unit for Gold Paladins from Absolute Judgment. He gives an additional offensive tactic to the golden warriors.

Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon's skill requires Unite and it activates when he attacks a vanguard. The ability superior calls as many units from the top seven cards of your deck as there are face up cards in the G zone. You want to have at least four cards face up in the G zone before striding Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon. You will have two more attacks for your turn. Effects from Triggers can be applied to your new rear-guards. The skill is counter blast free if you can superior call three units!

His skill is bested saved for the late stags of the game. The ideal situation is to have four face up G-Units in your G zone. You can superior call four units to the field and have two complete columns with standing rear-guards. G-Guardians make many decks better. Guarding vanguards with G-Guardians gives you more face up cards in the G zone. It is very easy to have five face up cards in your G zone.

Finally, Gold Paladins have many units that benefit from Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon's skill. Knight of the Remaining Sun, Henrinus is one of the new Gold Paladins. He can help achieve Unite. He can superior call an unit to the field and the unit gains an additional 3,000 power if your vanguard has Gurguit in its name. Henrinus can help complete your formation if you only have three face up units in your G zone. He calls the fourth and final piece after you use Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon's skill.

Overall, Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon's abilities is a great display of the Gold Paladin's strategy. His ability easily rebuilds a broken formation. A full formation before Stride can gain additional attacks in combat. The skill does not cost one counter blast if you superior call at least three Gold Paladins! You can save your counter blasts for other units. Witness the glory of Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon!
